Native Vertical Capture

Switch to vertical shooting in seconds with the third-generation design. Simply adjust the horizontal plate to quickly move between landscape and portrait orientations.

Second-Generation Quick Release Plate

Mount and balance your camera easily with the dual-layer quick release plates. A fine-tuning knob allows precise tilt-axis adjustments, while placement guides help secure your camera.

Auto-Locking OLED Screen

The fixed OLED touchscreen features an auto-lock function that prevents accidental changes while reducing brightness to conserve battery power.

Focus Pro and DJI SDR Transmission Support

Pair the RS 5 with Focus Pro motors for convenient focus and zoom control. Add DJI SDR Transmission for live video feeds and remote gimbal and camera control.

Automated Axis Locks

The three axes automatically unlock and expand when the gimbal is powered on, allowing you to start shooting in around two seconds. Press the power button once to automatically lock the axes and enter sleep mode.

Z-Axis Indicator

The Z-axis indicator displays your vertical movements, helping you adjust your motion while shooting. It does not provide Z-axis stabilisation.

RSA Communication Port

Connect Ronin series and compatible third-party accessories through the RSA communication port, with support for future custom functions through the DJI RS SDK.

Wireless Shutter Control

Dual-mode Bluetooth enables wireless photo and video control directly from the gimbal. Compatible cameras can automatically reconnect after the initial pairing.

Integrated Monitoring and Control

Adjust camera exposure through the Ronin app or control the gimbal using its virtual joystick. With the Ronin Image Transmitter, your smartphone can also be used as a motion controller for remote gimbal operation.
