Silent, Anti-Distortion Shutter

The Sony A1’s silent, vibration-free electronic shutter leaves you free to photograph sports, wildlife and other noise-sensitive subjects. Ultra-fast sensor readout minimises electronic-shutter distortion, preventing effects such as ‘club bend’ in golf photos. The Sony a1 is also the first ever camera to offer flicker-free electronic and mechanical shutters – so you can enjoy the benefits of an electronic shutter without the potential problems caused by artificial lights.
