Hybrid Capture & Instant Playback

Designed as a true three-in-one camera, the mini Evo Cinema captures high-quality still photos, records video clips up to 15 seconds long, and instantly prints images on instax mini film. Video clips can be stitched together directly in-camera or edited within the instax mini Evo app, where they can be trimmed, reordered, and enhanced with cinematic opening and end titles. Each printed video still includes a scannable QR code that allows the full clip to be replayed or downloaded on a smartphone. In addition, the camera functions as a wireless smartphone printer through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.

Gen Dial Creative Effects

At the heart of the mini Evo Cinema is the Gen Dial, a tactile control designed to recreate the visual and audio character of different decades of imaging history. Ten decade-inspired effects spanning from the 1930s to the 2020s allow users to transform both stills and videos with era-accurate textures, tones, grain structures, and sound profiles. Each decade offers ten adjustable intensity levels, creating up to one hundred unique creative combinations. Equipped with a 5MP CMOS sensor and a bright f/2 28mm-equivalent lens, the mini Evo Cinema captures 1920 by 2560 resolution JPEG still images optimized for instant printing. Automatic exposure with ISO settings ranging from 100 to 1600 and 256-zone metering help ensure balanced results in varied lighting conditions. Images can be reviewed on the 1.54-inch rear LCD screen before printing onto 2 by 3 inch instax mini instant film at 318 dpi, delivering rich color and sharp detail. The camera includes internal storage as well as a microSD card slot supporting expansion up to 256GB.
