7K RAW Video Recording
The R6 V offers a broad range of video resolutions and recording formats, providing greater flexibility during post-production. It supports internal 7K30 open-gate RAW and 7K60 RAW Light recording, delivering detailed 12-bit colour suitable for advanced colour grading and accurate cropping without compromising image quality.
A dedicated colour button allows quick access to Custom Picture settings, including Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, Canon 709, BT.709, and up to 14 user-assignable profiles. The camera also supports high frame rate recording up to 4K120 and 2K180 for smooth slow-motion footage.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
Adapted from the EOS R6 Mark III, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system provides fast and accurate autofocus performance for both still photography and video recording. The intelligent phase-detection system can recognise and track people, animals, vehicles, and other subjects with precision.
Features such as Register People Priority allow selected subjects to be prioritised for more reliable autofocus tracking.
Comprehensive Image Stabilisation
The R6 V features Coordinated Image Stabilisation, combining In-Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS) with optical stabilisation from compatible Canon RF and RF-S lenses. This system provides up to 7.5 stops of shake correction at the image centre for improved handheld shooting performance.
Movie Digital IS further enhances video stability through five-axis digital image stabilisation, helping maintain smoother footage during handheld recording.
Practical Design
Designed primarily for video production, the R6 V features a practical and efficient body design. Its built-in active cooling system supports extended recording sessions, while the vari-angle LCD and intuitive control layout allow for straightforward operation and configuration.
