The Canon CN-E 35mm T1.5 L F Cinema Prime Lens is a prime lens designed for manual focus. It is compatible with full-frame and Super 35 sensor formats.

This lens boasts a maximum aperture of T1.5, which proves advantageous in low-light conditions and when aiming for an extremely shallow depth-of-field effect. Its 11-blade iris ensures round, pleasing bokeh highlights, resulting in a natural-looking background blur. The lens barrel allows for seamless and precise focus control with a 300° step-less rotation, enabling smooth transitions from close focus to infinity.

With a focus on minimizing focus breathing, this lens incorporates innovative glass construction that counteracts barrel expansion and contraction, thus preventing temperature-induced marking inconsistencies. Additionally, the lens features dual-sided focus markings, with the rear markings positioned at an angle for readability from either side of the camera. Its durable housing is dust- and water-resistant, reducing the need for frequent maintenance during regular use.

The CN-E 14mm lens and the other five CN-E lenses share the same 114mm front barrel diameter, focus rotation, 36° iris rotation, and focus and iris gear positions. This uniformity facilitates easier lens swapping and compatibility between the lenses.
