Made mostly from metal and weighing just 215 grams, the Fujifilm 60mm f/2.4 is a compact telephoto lens for portrait, nature and macro photography work on the X-Pro1, X-E1, X-E2 and X-M1 mirrorless Compact System Cameras. Its 91mm (35 mm equivalent) focal length delivers a 26.6-degree viewing angle, and the lens is capable of producing half life-size magnification at its minimum focusing distance of 26.7cm.
Performance
At the heart of the Fuji XF 60mm macro are 10 lens elements in 8 groups. Included is an asphercial lens and 1 extra low dispersion element to correct for chromatic aberration. The result is an ultra-sharp image from edge to edge that is colour-true right across the frame, even at maximum aperture.
Autofocus on the Fuji XF 60mm is quick and accurate, even when shooting at close distances. As with other Fujifilm XF lenses, the 60mm has an intuitive manual aperture ring. This can be set to “A” for automatic aperture detection through your Fujifilm camera. Rotating the ring pushes aperture selection to manual, giving you complete control over 1/3 stop increments.
