Its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture maintains consistent exposure, enables smooth background separation, and ensures dependable low-light performance throughout the zoom range. The lens features a 12-element, 11-group optical design that delivers excellent clarity and sharpness across all focal lengths, while the 9-blade rounded diaphragm produces soft, circular bokeh. A minimum focusing distance of 5.9 inches at the wide end allows for detailed close-up work with a pleasingly shallow depth of field. With minimised focus breathing, the lens maintains a stable angle of view, providing a natural and consistent look for video recording.
