The 150 x 150mm Explorer Collection Nano IR ND Filter from NiSi has a 1.8 filter factor that provides a 6-stop exposure reduction. Its 1.8 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing the use of a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing the exposure time or increasing the aperture, the depth of field may be controlled more precisely, and longer shutter speeds add blur and convey a sense of movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
