100MP Sensor with True HDR Imaging

At its core, the X2D II houses a 100MP BSI CMOS sensor delivering 16-bit color, 15.3 stops of dynamic range, and ISO 50–25,600 performance. For the first time in medium format, true end-to-end HDR capture is possible, producing HDR HEIF or Ultra HDR JPEG files directly in-camera. Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) HDR technology combines with the wide P3 color gamut to reveal exceptional highlight and shadow detail with unmatched tonal nuance. Whether working with RAW files in Phocus or instant HDR JPEGs, every frame is defined by clarity and colour precision.

Smarter Autofocus, Stronger Stabilisation

The upgraded 425-point phase-detection autofocus system introduces AF-C continuous tracking, backed by LiDAR assistance for reliable performance in diverse lighting. Deep-learning algorithms enable accurate subject recognition for people, animals, and vehicles, while new focus-area modes expand creative control. Complementing this precision is a 5-axis in-body image stabilisation system rated up to 10 stops, maximising handheld shooting potential with the ultra-high-resolution sensor. Paired with XCD leaf-shutter lenses offering full flash sync up to 1/4000 sec, or adapted lenses with the electronic shutter at up to 1/6000 sec, the X2D II delivers speed, stability, and versatility in every capture.
