Designed for ease of use, each transmitter can be worn via built-in clips or attached using included magnetic mounts. The omnidirectional microphones capture crisp, balanced audio even with imperfect placement. Use them as handheld mics, clip-on lavaliers, or bodypack transmitters with external lav mics (sold separately). Two furry windscreens are included for reducing wind noise, perfect for outdoor shooting.

Built-In Recorder and Safety Track Protection

A major highlight of the DJI Mic 2 is its onboard recording capability. Each transmitter includes 8GB of internal storage—enough for up to 14 hours of 48kHz 24-bit audio. This allows backup recording directly to the device, ensuring no takes are lost due to signal dropouts. With the Mimo app, users can enable 32-bit float recording for extreme dynamic range. Safety Track mode adds an additional mono track at -6 dB, protecting against audio clipping.

Extended Battery Life and Monitoring Options

The system supports up to 6 hours of use per unit, with a total of 18 hours when using the included charging case. The receiver features a 3.5mm headphone output for live monitoring and quick audio checks during shoots. An OLED touchscreen and onboard dial make it easy to adjust gain, volume, and channel settings, while an internal motor provides haptic feedback during operations like muting, noise cancellation, and internal recording.
