High-Capacity Power with Rapid Recycle Times
Powering the EL-1 is Canon’s LP-EL rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, which enables remarkably fast recycle times of approximately 0.9 seconds and delivers up to 340 full-power flashes per charge. This battery system also enhances the flash’s thermal management, working seamlessly with its active cooling system to prevent overheating during demanding shoots, making it ideal for professional workflows.
Wireless Flexibility and Creative Control
With built-in radio transmission, the EL-1 fully supports Canon’s RT (Radio Transmission) system, acting as both a radio transmitter and receiver. It can trigger up to 15 compatible RT-series receiver Speedlites from a distance, allowing for flexible multi-light setups without the need for direct line-of-sight. In addition, Second-Curtain Sync functionality opens creative opportunities for capturing dramatic motion trails and dynamic lighting effects in long-exposure images.
