The built-in AtomHDR processing engine enables real-time log-to-HDR previewing in both PQ and HLG formats, ensuring your footage looks accurate even before post-production.

5.2" Full HD Touchscreen Display

The Ninja Ultra features a 5.2-inch IPS touchscreen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 1000 cd/m² brightness, making it highly visible even in daylight shooting conditions. With 10-bit color processing, Rec.709 color gamut support, and compatibility with Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro or Plus calibration tools, it delivers dependable, color-accurate monitoring for professional workflows

Color and Format Compatibility

This device supports a wide range of Log formats from major camera brands including Sony, ARRI, RED, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, and JVC. Users can load custom 3D LUTs for on-set monitoring and output HDR conversions in Log, HLG, PQ, or Dolby Vision formats, giving full control over the color pipeline from shoot to delivery.

High-Performance HDMI and ProRes RAW Recording

Equipped with HDMI input and output, the Ninja Ultra handles DCI 4K video at up to 60 fps for monitoring, recording, and playback. It supports 3.5K RAW at 60 fps with select cameras, and works with over 55 camera models for RAW recording over HDMI up to 8K at 30 fps. This level of performance makes it a go-to choice for productions demanding both resolution and speed.

Optional Atomos CONNECT Module

When paired with the optional Atomos CONNECT module, the Ninja Ultra gains additional capabilities tailored for high-end and cloud-connected workflows. The module adds 12G-SDI input/output, AirGlu wireless timecode and control, Wi-Fi 6, and Gigabit Ethernet. It also unlocks Atomos Cloud Studio features like Camera to Cloud (C2C), Atomos Edit, and RemoteView. Ultra-specific enhancements include SDICine metadata, RAW over SDI, dual recording in 4K60 ProRes RAW and 1080p60 H.265, and HDMI/SDI cross conversion.

Live Production with AtomX CAST

By integrating the AtomX CAST module, the Ninja Ultra becomes a full-featured live production switcher. It enables multi-input switching from four 1080p HDMI sources, the use of graphic overlays, and USB UVC output for instant plug-and-play streaming or web conferencing—perfect for live events, webinars, and hybrid production environments.

Flexible Storage and Power Options

The Ninja Ultra supports recording to a range of storage media, including Atomos Master Caddy II and III 2.5" drives, AtomX SSDmini, and CFast II cards via a separately available adapter. Power is equally adaptable with support for NP-F L-series batteries, 30W USB-C PD input, and DC power via the included dummy eliminator, ensuring uninterrupted operation across a range of setups.
