Utilising the camera’s in-built image stabilisation mechanism, the Pixel Shift Multi-Shot mode shifts the sensor with high precision to take 20 consecutive exposures. This process acquires approximately 160MP of information, which the dedicated software, Pixel Shift Combiner, uses to generate a single image with a higher resolution, delivering an image with greater colour accuracy and detail than is possible with a single exposure.

Subject Detect AF with Eye Tracking

The new high-resolution sensor has significantly more phase-detection pixels than other X Series cameras, resulting in fast and accurate focusing performance across more of the sensor.
