Ranging from 18mm-55mm (equivalent 27mm to 84mm in the 35mm format), this zoom covers frequently used focal lengths. This is a very useful range that covers landscape, street and portrait photography. With a viewing angle of 79.1 degrees at its shortest end, it’s ideal for those wide-angle landscapes. At its longest zoom, the viewing angle closes up to 28.4 degrees, perfect for portraits and close-up detail even from a distance.

With a maximum aperture of f/2.8-4, the Fuji 18-55mm f/2.8-4 Lens will stay fast at most focal lengths and in most shooting situations. This fast lens opens wider to increase exposure - perfect for freezing action, shooting in dimmer conditions and crafting lovely soft background blur. The XF lens includes a manual aperture ring that can be set to automatic on the lens barrel. Switch over to manual exposure for complete control over 1/3 stop increments.

Real-life colour replication

Creating sharp images that replicate colours perfectly. 14 elements in 10 groups transmit light cleanly and accurately to your camera’s sensor. Fujifilm’s 3 aspherical lens elements and 1 abnormal dispersion element prevent chromatic aberrations, resulting in crisp colour and accurate details. This minimises distortion and chromatic aberration, giving you perfect colours and no distractions in your images.

Steady images

The built-in optical image stabilisation removes camera shake and unwanted blur. This is helpful in low light, enabling the lens to focus on details and bring out colour and shadows with accuracy. It’s also helpful when you don’t have a tripod and you’re relying on handheld shooting. Your images will be sharp and clear, even when shooting in challenging lighting situations. This can also be easily switched off if you prefer to shoot without OIS.
