Brilliant 4K Footage Straight Out of Camera

Capable of XAVC-I Class 300 internal recording with 10-bit 4:2:2 chroma sub-sampling, the Sony FX6 offers stunningly rich DCI-4K video at up to 60 fps, and 4K (QFHD) video at 120 fps with AF. A future-oriented BIONZ XRTM image processor provides super-fast readout speeds, while sophisticated heat dissipation allows extended recording at high resolutions and frame rates. The inbuilt S-Cinetone colour profile removes the need for lengthy colour grading, giving you expressive hues and amazing tonal depth straight out of the camera.

Hybrid AF for Pinpoint Precision

With Sony E-mount lenses the Sony FX6 delivers incredibly smooth and responsive AF performance, so you can master even the most challenging shots. Using intelligent tracking and on-sensor phase detection, Hybrid AF quickly and reliably tracks subjects across almost the entire frame. Real-time Eye AF and Face Detection deliver razor-sharp focus in real-time, even when your subject is looking down or at a high angle. So even at shallow depths of field and 120p high frame rates in 4K (QFHD), all you need to worry about is composing the best shot.

Featuring a dust- and weather-resistant, magnesium-alloy structure, the Sony FX6 will withstand the most relentless shooting demands. But at a compact and ultra-light 0.89kg, the Sony FX6 is also the perfect ‘grab and shoot’ camera. Its modular design easily adapts to diverse shooting requirements. The ergonomic Smart Handle promotes easy high- or low-angle shooting and can be easily reconfigured if you want to use a gimbal, drone, or underwater housing. Easily control key functions using the detachable Smart Grip (which can be adjusted via a single button) or the 3.5”, 2.76 million-dot LCD touch monitor.

The Sony FX6 offers all the functionality and connectivity you’d expect from a cine camera, including TC output, SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps for fast workflows, and dual CFexpress and UHS-II card slots. 12G-SDI and HDMI outputs support external monitoring and external recording in 16-bit RAW. Four audio channels, dual XLR inputs, and intuitively placed volume/monitoring controls facilitate high-quality internal audio recording. Meanwhile, 5Ghz and 2.4ghz WiFi allow you to take advantage of a myriad of advanced wireless production features.
