The Sony Alpha A7R Mark III uses the high-capacity Z-series NP-FZ100 rechargeable lithium-ion battery from Sony. When used together, it will deliver up to approximately 530 shots per charge when shooting with the viewfinder.
Pixel Shift shooting is a new and unique compositing function in the Sony a7R III, which allows you to achieve greater than 42.4MP resolution – increasing it by four times. By taking four images and shifting the sensor 1 pixel between each, the camera is able to capture extra resolution – you can then combine the images later in post-production using the Sony Imagine software. It will still be a 42-megapixel file, but will contain four times the resolution. You’ll be amazed by the detail!
Yes, the camera features a ratings function so you can assign star values, from 1-5, to images in-camera while you’re on the go, so you can edit and sort your images faster once you’re at home during post-production.
The memory card slot 1 is UHS-II compatible – perfect for the Sony SF-G Series UHS-II SD, for the best performance. The second card slot is UHS-I compatible – ideal for the SF-UZ Series SD.
