The NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.2 S is part of the S-Line* series, and realises outstanding optical performance. It emphasises the main subjects with soft and beautiful bokeh, and provides realistic expression of textures along the focal plane. Sharing the same design concept as the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S and the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S, it offers superior rendering capabilities as well as delivering depiction with a sense of depth, even at its wide angle of view.

Multi-Focusing System, Dual STM Motors
While a strong lens choice for still photography, this prime is also optimized for video capturing thanks to its clickless control ring, ability to suppress focus breathing, and quiet focusing operation. Driving AF performance is a multi-focus system that incorporates dual STM motors for increased reliability and accuracy. When working near subjects, this lens allows focusing as close as 13.4" away.
Convenient & Customizable
Adjusting settings quickly as your environment shifts is critical for nailing your shot. The NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.2 S features two L-Fn buttons that you can assign to your preferred lens functions. In addition to this is a manual focus ring and a programmable control ring that can be set to your desired function such as aperture adjustment or exposure compensation. This lens's 82mm filter thread is the same as the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S and NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S, providing added convenience when working with lens filters.
Weather Resistance & Glass Protection
Dust and drip resistance are ensured by the sealing of multiple parts of the lens, including movable parts of the lens barrel. This provides users with increased confidence when shooting on-location.
Complex Optical Design
Nikon uses three ED lenses and one aspherical ED lens to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion. In total, there are 17 elements in 15 groups as well as a rounded 11-blade diaphragm, which creates unique bokeh and striking image quality.
