26.1MP X-Trans 5 BSI Stacked CMOS Sensor and X-Processor 5 with 64Gbit DRAM

At the core of the X-H2S is a newly designed 26.1MP X-Trans 5 CMOS sensor featuring a stacked back-side illuminated design, providing a host of benefits to the way you shoot stills or videos. The new design offers improved readout speeds, faster AF, higher frames per second, improved noise performance, greater dynamic range, reduced rolling shutter, improved image quality, and reduced viewfinder lag for tracking moving subjects.                 

Up to 40 fps Shooting

Blackout-free, high-speed continuous shooting up to 40fps with no crop when using the electronic shutter. The high-capacity buffer offers extended continuous shooting of JPG and RAW files up to 15fps.

Intelligent Autofocus System

The new and improved AF system, covering the entire sensor area,  uses 425 phase-detection points to achieve fast and accurate focusing performance. Utilising the power of the stacked-layer back-illuminated sensor and X-Processor 5 enables more AF calculation cycles, delivering more precise AF performance ideal for sports and action burst shooting. 

In-Body Image Stabilization

The 5-axis IBIS compensates for up to 7 stops of camera shake, perfect for shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds or with longer telephoto lenses. 

Up to 6K Recording Supported

A true hybrid camera, the newly designed sensor, and processor also support 6K video recording at 30 fps, 4K at 120 fps, and 1080 at 240 fps for slow-motion capture. Internal recording at 4:2:2 10-bit plus ProRes.

Dual Memory Card Slots

Dual memory card slots for file-saving flexibility. The CF Express Type B slot is ideal for fast continuous shooting and high-resolution video recording, while the SD UHS-II slot provides a convenient option for less demanding shooting.

Ports and Interface

Full-size HDMI A port offers a more reliable connection when outputting video to an external recorder or monitor. Fitted with a 3.5mm microphone and headphone ports for more precise audio recording and monitoring.

Durable, Weather-Sealed Build

Housed inside a weather-sealed chassis for reliable performance even in harsh weather. Capable of operating in temperatures between -10°C - +40°C.

NP-W235 Battery and Optional Vertical Power Booster Grip

The included NP-W235 battery offers approximately 600 frames per charge. When the X-H2S is paired with the optional grip (which holds 2 additional batteries), it delivers approximately 1700 frames per charge.
