5-axis in-body image stabilisation

Shoot with total confidence knowing that the Fujifilm X-H1 features outstanding in-body image stabilization. With three axial accelerometers, three axial Gyro sensors and a specialised dual-processor, this optical image stabilisation technology ensures high-quality imagery in low light conditions regardless of the lens you use. When used with XF lenses that don’t feature image stabilisation, this camera body still ensures up to a maximum of 5.5 stops image stabilisation.

Superior image quality

You can always expect to capture high-quality imagery that truly captures the detail, atmosphere and colour of every scene with this Fujifilm mirrorless camera, which comes packed full of features. On top of the in-body image stabilisation technology, the Fujifilm X-H1 features an APS-C size X-Trans CMOS III sensor which captures images at an impressive 24.3MP, as well as a high-speed image processing engine, the X-Processor Pro, which boosts many aspects of the camera’s speed and precision performance. F-Log brings you the best available dynamic range the X-H1 can provide in addition to color correcting recorded flat images to your liking.Combined, these features make it easier than ever before to produce superior images and video.

Robust and durable body

Both dust-resistant and water-resistant, the weather-sealed Fujifilm X-H1 can be confidently used in a wide range of environments, whether you’re in the Australian outback shooting stunning remote landscapes or shooting footage in cold, snowy conditions. The camera can operate in temperatures as low as minus-ten-degrees. It is also shock resistant, features high-quality scratch resistant coating and uses a magnesium alloy that is 25 per cent thicker than the X-T2. But despite being robust and durable, the Fuji X-H1 is still compact and lightweight, so it won’t weigh you down.

Many enhanced video features

The Fujifilm X-H1 does more than just touch on video performance in this camera model; instead, it features a whole host of functional and performance improvements that make it a fantastic choice for avid videographers. Highlights include the 1080/120P high-speed video mode for recording slow-motion footage, a DCI 4K shooting mode (4096×2160), 200 Mbps high bit rate recording and a 400 per cent dynamic range setting (approximately 12 stops). It also features a high sound quality internal microphone (24-bit/48 kHz) and verbal time codes – and is the first X series camera to include ETERNA, a new mode that simulates cinematic film and opens up new possibilities in post-processing.

Fast and precise autofocus

With 91 focus points (up to 325) and improved AF algorithms, the Fuji X-H1 ensures fast and accurate autofocus with every single shot you take – whether your subject is still or is moving and requires tracking. With a phase detection AF area that covers half of the area side to side and 75 per cent from top to bottom, the range has been expanded by 1.5 stops and the minimum aperture requirement improved from F8 to F11. Even during zooming, this camera has enhanced AF-C performance that’s capable of focusing on quick-moving subjects in sport and wildlife – and beyond – with total precision.

What batteries does the Fuji X-H1 camera require?

The Fujifilm X-H1 is compatible with the NP-W126S Lithium-Ion Battery Pack.

What do I do if shooting video takes up too much power?

If you're looking to make the most of the fantastic video features of the Fujifilm X-H1, you'll definitely want to invest in the Fujifilm VPB-XH Vertical Power Booster Grip For X-H1. This will ensure you have the extra power you need to power through your filming and get the most out of the great functions this camera flaunts, while also offering a vertical grip to help shoot smooth footage from any angle.

What lenses if the Fuji X-H1 compatible with?

The Fujifilm X-H1 is compatible with and can be used with all XF and XC lenses. However, when combined with XF lenses – which were specifically designed for the X series cameras – the sensor on the X-H1 is able to reach its best descriptive performance.

Is it ok to use IS lenses with the XH1 since it already has in-body image stabilisation?

Yes. You can use this camera with either lenses that do or do not have IS built into the lens. The X-H1 will use whichever stabilisation method suits the movement as detected by the 5-axis system. This means sometimes the lens’ stabilisation technology will be harnessed to create crisp, still images, and at other times the X-H1 will use its own stabilisation system. Sometimes the camera will use a combination of both systems for the best possible result.

What’s the 'ETERNA' film simulation mode?

The Fuji X-H1 features 16 different Film Simulation modes that allow you to apply colours and tones and unique effects to your video footage to help create the look and atmosphere you’d envisaged – without having to do all the work in post-processing. The “ETERNA” mode is a new Film Simulation mode that simulates cinematographic films – characterised by subdued colour presentations and rich shadow tones. The “ETERNA” film simulation mode can be used at 400 per cent Dynamic Range (equivalent to about 12 stops).

Does the Fujifilm X-H1 support remote shooting?

Yes, this camera does support remote shooting using a smartphone or tablet via a Bluetooth connection. Simply install the free Fujifilm Camera Remote app on your smart device to allow it to control certain functions such as checking the preview, controlling shooting settings and viewing images. This Bluetooth technology can also be used to transfer images wirelessly between devices, including to computers.

What is the “Flickering Reduction” feature on the X-H1?

The X-H1’s Flickering Reduction feature comes into play when shooting in the midst of AC-powered fluorescent lights. The function is able to detect the light flicker rate and in response, automatically controls the shutter timing to capture your image at peak brightness. This allows you to maintain exposure and colour stability while photographing in situations such as indoor sports photography.

Where can I check my shooting information after taking a shot?

You’ll notice two monitors on the X-H1. On the rear of the camera is a 3-inch, 1.04 million dot touchscreen LCD that can be tilted three ways to see and use from various angles. The other 1.28-inch sub-LCD is on top of the camera, and is where you will find instant confirmation of shooting information for your review.
