PortKeys LEYE Overview
The PORTKEYS LEYE 3G-SDI & HDMI 2.4" LCD Electronic Viewfinder builds upon the functionalities of its predecessor with the inclusion of a 3G-SDI input and an integrated LP-E6 battery plate integrated into the interface. The 3G-SDI input offers support for video resolutions up to 1080p, while the HDMI input accommodates resolutions up to UHD 4K. With its 2.4" LCD screen boasting a resolution of 1440 x 900, brightness of 450 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 1100:1, this viewfinder ensures clear image viewing even in well-lit environments. Additionally, a circular sponge eye mask adds to its usability by preventing direct sunlight from damaging the LCD screen.
Several mounting options are integrated into the viewfinder for attachment to your camera rig configuration: a rosette, three 1/4"-20 threads, and a NATO rail. Various video assist functions can be enabled to monitor the quality of your image, and a -3 to +8 diopter range allows you to adjust focus to comfortably suit your vision. Power for the device, when not provided with an LP-E6 compatible battery or power bank, can also be achieved with the self-locking 4-pin aviation connector input. You can upload custom 3D LUTs of your choice to the viewfinder or upgrade the firmware using the USB Type-A input.
