With a bright f/1.4 aperture, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art can take on low light situations confidently. Producing a shallow depth of field with nine circular aperture blades, you’ll achieve beautiful bokeh. From gorgeous portraits and landscapes to street photography and nature shots, you’ll be able to play around to get some seriously creative shots.
With an internally focusing Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art delivers near-silent high-speed autofocus, so you won’t miss a shot. Whether you’re capturing action, taking shots candidly in nature, or working at an event, you’ll be able to capture all the moments one after the other without distraction. With full time manual override, you can easily switch over to manual focus.
The super multi-layer coating and special low dispersion glass elements stop unwanted chromatic aberrations to produce clear images with better colour contrast. Incorporating FLD (“F” low dispersion) glass elements, which have performance equal to fluorite, and SLD (special low dispersion), aberrations are corrected. Internal reflections that can cause lens flare, ghosting and scattered light are reduced significantly to produce clean, clear and crisp imagery. Angle distortions that can be caused with wide angles are reduced with astigmatic compensations in this lens.
The Sigma USB dock is compatible with professional software which enables you to correct focus calibration issues in lens rather than in camera. This makes it easy to share the lens between multiple cameras without confusion. You can also keep the lens updated with firmware to keep the lens performance up-to-date with newer camera bodies.
Get creative with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art, whether you’re experimenting with landscapes, portraits or street photography. The Sigma Art series is ideal for in-studio photography or outdoor shooting of night skies or underwater shots. Perfect for full frame cameras, this lens series can also be used with APS-C sensors.

The Sigma 35mm Art creates wonderful contrast, even when opened all the way out to f/1.4. It renders beautifully soft out-of-focus elements to create soft bokeh effects at shallow depth of field.
All professional lenses are shipped to a factory standard, but may require individual calibration to have them perform at their best with your specific camera. Lens calibration can also change over time with small bumps and frequent use, so periodic calibration before large events is recommended. Sigma’s lens dock makes it easy to calibrate the lens internally to make it more accurate across multiple cameras.
We always recommend a protector filter for your lenses. Acting as an extra barrier for the front element of your lens, a UV or clear filter will help to protect it from any scratches, fingerprints and bumps. You can also add a range of other filters for special effects and to help achieve the right exposure, colours and contrasts in your images if you wish.
High quality glass deserves high quality protection. The Hoya HD 67mm protection filter has a very high light transmission and coatings to repel grease, moisture and internal reflections, as well as minimising scratches.
The Sigma USB lens dock allows you to update your lens firmware to maximise performance across a range of camera bodies. It also makes adjustments to the focusing accuracy in the lens.
If you’re using your gear in the real world, there’s not much you can do to prevent the odd bit of dust getting on the glass. Try a Lenspen, a dust brush and a self-cleaning microfibre cloth in one device, to keep the dust at bay. It takes up less space in your bag and is super easy to use.
