Explore a higher level of photographic creativity with the all new Nikon D610 full frame digital SLR camera. Superseding the Nikon D600 as Nikon’s entry-level full frame camera for advanced photographers, the Nikon D610 DSLR really packs a creative punch with its 24.3 megapixel FX format sensor. Images are rendered with breathtaking sharpness and clarity across a wide dynamic range. Details are crisp and colours show incredible depth, bringing a lifelike quality to your photographs. With a full frame sensor on-board Nikon D610 photographers also gain more control over depth of field, and benefit from better low light performance, bringing the freedom to shoot high-fidelity professional images in even the most challenging of lighting situations.

Expeed 3 Image Processing Engine

At the heart of the Nikon D610 full frame digital SLR camera is the ultra-quick and reliable 16-bit Expeed 3 image processor. Used for superior image processing performance in all of Nikon’s high-end cameras, the Expeed 3 delivers the power to process data-rich images without loss of image quality, and without compromising the camera’s speed. Colours are rendered with exceptional depth through the entire ISO range up to ISO 25,600, while tonal gradations are super smooth, right through from the brightest highlights to the darkest shadows.

High Density 39-Point AF System

Enhancing image capture performance on the Nikon D610 is Nikon’s high-density 39-point AF System. It’s fast and accurate, photographers being able to acquire almost instantaneous sharp autofocus from camera start-up, even when the main subject is off-centre in the frame. Nine cross-type AF points packed densely through the central portion of the frame ensure razor sharp focus when your subject is central in your shot, while 7 focus points support AF performance down to f/8 aperture, making it possible to acquire sharp AF with telephoto lenses.

High Speed Continuous Shooting

The Nikon D610 DSLR impresses greatly with continuous high-speed shooting in full resolution at up to 6fps, making it faster than its predecessor. Additionally, the Nikon D610 offers an all-new Quiet continuous shutter release (Qc) mode.  This enables you to take continuous shots at 3fps in near silence – a perfect solution when noise-free photography is desired, such as at weddings and when photographing a sleeping child or capturing shy wildlife on camera.

In-Camera Creativity

The improvements on the Nikon D610 over the previous model continue in-camera too. Upgraded white balance software brings more control over colour richness in images. Blue skies can now be shot more vividly than on the D600, while indoors under artificial lights skin tones and overall colour rendition is more accurate. The camera’s extensive roster of scene modes along with exposure compensation bracketing to +/-5 EV adds a flexibility that few other high-end cameras can match.

Robust Lightweight Design

Like the D600 the Nikon D610 digital SLR camera is extremely portable. Its body weighs only 850 grams, which for a full frame DSLR is pretty light. It’s a robust camera too. Nikon have upgraded it to a weather-sealed unit with magnesium alloy top and rear covers, much like the Nikon D800. Overall it adds a durability to the D610, giving photographers the confidence to take it out and shoot with it in extreme environments.

Full HD Movies

Full HD movies are a joy to film on the Nikon D610 DSLR. The camera renders smooth full HD video at up to 30fps, while delivering you all of the advantages of using a full frame camera. Creamy bokeh shots become a reality, while switching focus between people in a scene delivers TV broadcast quality results. You’ll also benefit from the camera’s ability to perform miracles in low light, the Nikon D610 making it easy to capture sharp and vivid footage in dim natural light, and under low-luminance artificial lights.
