The Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 VR lens was built for use with FX format (full frame) Nikon DSLR cameras
like the Nikon D6, Nikon D850 and Nikon D780. However, it can also be used on Nikon DX sensor
cameras (e.g. Nikon D3500, Nikon D5600). When used with the Nikon FTZ Mount Adapter, the Nikon 24-70mm VR lens is also compatible with Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras like the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z50.
Please note that the Nikon 24-70 f2.8 lens’ equivalent focal length when used on an APS-C sensor camera is 36-105mm.
The key differences between this Nikon NIKKOR AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens and the earlier
Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Lens are that this lens features Vibration Reduction (VR) technology
and an improved optical design – including the first ever aspherical Extra-low Dispersion glass
element to feature in a NIKKOR lens.
82mm. It’s always a great idea to keep a regular clear filter or UV filter on your lens for protection
against bumps and knocks as well as dirt, scratches and fingerprints. It’s always cheaper to replace a
simple filter than deal with a damaged front lens element!
