Bubbles, Brides & Black Cockatoos | CameraPro’s May 2019 Photography Festival in Review

Hundreds of people flocked to CameraPro basecamp on Saturday 25th for the May 2019 Photography Festival – our most successful yet!

Featuring all new-to-CameraPro presenters and entertainers, the day was bigger and better than ever, packed with free or low-cost workshops, photo walks (with Tamblyn Models), and presentations by masters of their craft.

As well as food photography and Lightroom demos from leading food photographer Nadine Shaw (Nikon), stylist Sarah Denardi and Adobe specialist Richard Turner-Jones, there were hours of inspiring and informative presentations by award-winning wedding photographer Ashley K and filmmaker Nikki Fox (Panasonic), Canon Ambassador Colin Baker, award-winning fine art photographer Ana Woolmington (Fujifilm), and AIPP Master Photographer Nick Ghionis (Olympus).

The CameraPro studio hosted our first ever wildlife photography sessions, which proved to be a huge hit! Everyone loved photographing and interacting with the animals from Wild Call, and proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.

There was also free entertainment (and photo ops) from Bubble’licious Creations and The Loose Cannons, plus heaps of giveaways, storewide discounts, and free food and coffee from The Bagel Boys and Wandering Man Espresso.

Thanks to everyone who helped us to make the event plastic-free by BYOing cups/bottles from home or buying CameraPro reusable drinkware in support of the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
