Explore a more immersive photography experience with the new Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera. Featuring an advanced X-TRANS II 16-megapixel APS-C image sensor and EXR II image processor, the Fujifilm X-T1 delivers exceptional image quality with razor sharp detail exquisitely resolved right across the frame. A ground-breaking high resolution 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder, which offers up to a 31-degree viewing angle and x0.77 magnification, ensures full artistic control over composition and framing, while an ultra-fast intelligent hybrid AF system enables the capture of incredibly sharp images in the most challenging of lighting conditions.

Immersive Shooting Experience

As soon as you pick up the Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera you know you’re going some place new. It looks like a high-end DSLR, and it handles like one too, its plush mechanical dials adding a sense of tradition to its profile. In the hand the X-T1 is compact, robust and highly portable – a small yet rugged imaging device that gives you the freedom to shoot professional images without the bulk and excessive weight of a DSLR.

But it is the joy of the imaging experience with the Fujifilm X-T1 that marks this camera out as different. There is an art to taking eye-catching images, and it starts with that visual connection you get between photographer and scene. It is only when you see the whole composition laid out true in front of your eye in high resolution that you can begin to pick out scene nuances that will make or break your image. Fujifilm understand this, and so have made the viewfinding experience truly immersive with a 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder. Designed to match the performance of an optical viewfinder the Fujifilm X-T1’s OLED features a choice of ‘Full’ and ‘Normal’ viewing modes. On ‘Full’ photographers get an exceptional high-resolution view that covers 31-degrees of viewing angle right across the viewfinder aperture. Shooting information is placed top and bottom of the display so that it does not interfere with the outer edges of your shot, so giving you an unrivalled shot composition and framing experience.

High-End DSLR Image Quality

At the heart of the Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera is the trusted 16-megapixel X-TRANS II APS-C image sensor and the exceptionally quick EXR Processor II image engine. Together they capture ultra high quality images with astounding accuracy and life-like colours, no matter how challenging the lighting conditions. Furthermore, the EXR Processor II ensures that each scene is optimally processed for the focal length and aperture of the Fujinon XF lens attached for the shot. The results are truly astounding. Fine detail is rendered with breathtaking clarity; images are sharp edge to edge regardless of the XF lens used, while colours and small scale tonal gradations are rendered faithfully in such a way as to give the image a life-like immersive appeal.

Enhancing image quality still further is the absence of the Optical Low Pass Filter (OLPF) on the X-TRANS II sensor. OLPFs are often used in digital cameras to eliminate moire, but generally at the expense of resolution performance. To avoid this the Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera has replaced OLPF technology with an original colour filter offering a highly random pixel array. The randomness of the pixels ensures that moire is successfully eliminated without loss of resolution, and so results in crisp and clear images capable of rivalling the quality of photos from full frame DSLRs.

Ultra-fast Intelligent Hybrid AF

Enhancing image capture performance on the Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera is the ultra-fast Fujifilm Intelligent Hybrid AF System. Comprising an on-chip phase detection AF component for autofocus acquisition in as little as 0.08-seconds, and a multi-point contrast detection AF component for precision autofocusing in low light, Fujifilm’s hybrid AF system delivers photographers exceptionally quick and accurate autofocusing capabilities. In manual mode a focus peaking option is available to help you preview in your viewfinder which areas of your image are in sharpest focus.

Exceptional Low Light Performance

Twilight photography comes alive with the Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera. An ISO range that extends all the way out to ISO 51200 gives you the ability to sharply render landscape and architecture details in both evening and dawn light. Interiors are rich and detailed with no false colours, while high contrast scenes are beautifully rendered with superb tonal gradation in shadows and highlights.

Full HD Movies

The Fujifilm X-T1 CSC is not just for stills photography; it’s a movie camera too. Up to 14-minutes of continuous Full HD video may be captured at up to 60 frames per second. To record for longer the Fujifilm X-T1 can be switched to a HD resolution of 1280 x 720. This will get you 27-minutes of continuous video at 60 frames per second.

Tough Weather-Resistant Design

A major feature of the Fujifilm X-T1 is its weather-resistant design. More than 80 independent weather seals ensure that X-T1 is dust-resistant and moisture-resistant. Use it out in the Australian desert or shoot your images in the rain; the Fujifilm X-T1 just keeps on going no matter what your shooting environment throws at you. It’s even cold-resistant down to minus 10 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for travel photography in colder climates outside Australia.

Advanced Wireless Connectivity

In common with most other new digital camera releases the Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless Compact System Camera can be controlled remotely via a smartphone or tablet. The camera comes with the FUJIFILM Camera Remote Application. This enables you to focus and trigger the camera from distance, and also lets you adjust camera settings like exposure compensation, shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
