Achieve breathtaking image quality with the Fujifilm GFX 50S medium format camera. With its outstanding 51.4 megapixel 42.8 x 32.9m CMOS sensor (Fujifilm G format), Fujifilm’s superior image design technology and a wide range of high-performance GF lenses at your disposal, the GFX 50S brings reliable, professional-level images and video to life – complete with stunning tonal gradations, colour reproduction and crisp detail. You’ll be amazed by the results.
The Fujifilm GFX 50S packs a powerful punch of features and is capable of delivering high-resolution, 14-bit stills with a 14-stop wide dynamic range and an extensive 100 to 12800 ISO range (expandable to ISO 50 to 102400). This truly opens up the possibilities. The GFX 50S also offers a range of traditional medium and large aspect ratios, including 4:3, 1:1, 65:24, 5:4, 7:6, 3:2, and 16:9. From long exposures capturing starry night skies and twinkling stars to professional wedding portraits in panorama, you can do it all.
The GFX 50S challenges the common perceptions of what a medium format digital camera should look and feel like. It is surprisingly small and compact, with a lightweight body made of magnesium alloy. It weights just 825g (including battery and memory card), and when the detachable ultra-high definition EVF (3.69M-dot organic EL panel) is attached it comes in at 920g. Now you can enjoy the freedom of lighter handling with all the big powerful features.
A new focal plane shutter has been developed specifically for medium format mirrorless cameras such as the GFX 50S to deliver the highest possible performance – including a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 second (1/16000 second with electronic shutter). It’s also capable of a flash sync speed of 1/125 seconds and a shutter endurance supporting up to 150,000 shots, and maintains low vibration and quiet shutter noise. The best part? You can choose from three different shutter types, including an electronic shutter.
With a 117-point contrast-detection autofocusing system (which can be further divided into 425 points), the GFX 50S makes it easier than ever to accurately snap away with speedy and precise autofocusing. Employ the Face and Eye Detection AF for portraiture, use the integrated Focus Lever for intuitive focus point selection and, for those times when selective focus is critical, the electronic depth of field scale is sure help. From snapping a gymnast practising their routine to videoing a busy city street scene with cars zooming past, you’ll never miss a moment.
For videos that are set to impress, the GFX 50S supports Full HD 1080p video at 29.97, 25, 24, and 23.98 fps frame rates. The camera also features Fujifilm’s popular Film Simulation modes to reproduce the look and feel of several of their film types. Film Simulations include Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Pro Neg. Hi, Pro Neg. Standard, Acros, Monochrome, and Sepia.
