Cokin Filters

Cokin filters and Cokin filter kits are used for creative photography. Among the Cokin filter range are polarizing filters, ND filters, black & white filters and colour filters. Cokin’s square filters attach to the front of your camera lens via an adapter. There are four sizes of adapter available - the A Series, P Series, X-Pro Series and Z-Pro Series. With these adapter sizes Cokin have made sure that all types of camera are compatible with their filters, including small digital compacts, DSLRs, camcorders and medium format cameras.

Cokin Filter Kits
Cokin filter kits are complete filter systems to get you up and running with the Cokin system. All Cokin filter kits are easy to assemble and consist of

1 - A Lens Adapter: The adapter screws or snaps to the front of your camera lens.

2 - A Filter Holder: The Cokin filter holder attaches to the adapter. It is a scalable system so you can stack several Cokin filters in front of each other for some truly dramatic photographic effects.

3 - Filters: Cokin filters slot securely into the holder. They are made from CR-39 organic glass to minimize loss of light through the system.

Cokin filters are an essential tool for landscape photographers. The ability to stack and adjust filters across the system helps achieve a balanced exposure across the dynamic range, as well as delivering better colour contrast and saturation. It’s a great system for experimenting with longer daylight exposures too.
