Sony Digital SLRs

New Sony DSLRs are unlike any other DSLRs on the market. Instead of a mechanical mirror system inside the body that must flip up to expose the sensor to light, Sony DSLRs use a single translucent mirror (SLT) to let light pass directly through to the sensor. The benefits are faster and more accurate auto-focus, and better burst photography performance.

Entry-Level Sony Digital SLR Cameras
Entry-level Sony DSLRs using SLT include the SLT-A37 and SLT-A57. Both feature 16.1 megapixel sensors and Quick AF Live View. The A37 can deliver 7 frames per second, while the A57 churns out an impressive 12 frames per second.

Mid and Pro-Level Sony Digital SLR Cameras
Stepping up to the Mid-level Sony DSLRs we have the SLT-A65 and SLT-A77. Both Sony digital SLR camera models use the high-end 24.3 megapixel sensor and offer Live View. The performance difference between them shows its hand in burst photography mode with the SLT-A65 handling 10 frames per second and the A77 moving to 12 frames per second. The A99 is Sony’s Pro DSLR. It is a full-frame 24.3 megapixel camera shooting 10 frames per second on a 19-point AF system to deliver exceptionally crisp images.
