High Resolution Professional Imagery

Canon’s 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor combined with its DIGIC 6 image processor produces high resolution imagery with clarity and minimal noise. Offering fast performance, the processor continuously shoots at up to 7 frames per second. It also enables video recording at full 1080p HD at 60 frames per second in MP4 format. With an ISO native sensitivity range of 100-16000 expandable to 25600, the Canon 80D shoots well in low light conditions.

Tilting Bright Touchscreen

Working from high and low angles is made easy with the Canon 80D's adjustable vari-angle 3-inch screen. Thanks to its 1.04m-dot resolution, you can view your shots and video with excellent clarity. Easily adjust the settings at the touch of your fingertips with a touchscreen that also enables autofocus and shooting.

Capture Full HD Video Reels

The Canon 80D is fully equipped to take high resolution 1080p videos. Recording at a fast 60 frames per second, you’ll be able to capture moments with defined clarity. Shooting in MOV format with ALL-I compression, video recording is available at up to 30 frames per second. Headphone and microphone jacks are incorporated in the body design for advanced control over audio recording.

Fast, Accurate Autofocus

The Canon 80D's 45-point all cross-type AF system produces quick and precise focusing down to -3 EV, even in difficult lighting conditions. For working with telephoto lenses fitted with extenders, 27 of the points are capable of focusing down to f/8. The center dual cross-type offers increased precision at brighter aperture values for greater accuracy in low-contrast and mixed lighting conditions. Capture moving objects with precision and have greater control over composition even if your subject is off centre with accurate pin-point focusing.

Share Your Images From Anywhere

Connect your Canon 80D to your mobile devices with near-field communication and built-in Wi-Fi capability. Instantly share your images and video by connecting to the Canon Camera Connect app. You can also backup your images to the Cloud using the Canon Connect Station. Remote shooting from a linked mobile device is also available, allowing you to wirelessly configure exposure settings or release the shutter.

Shoot in a Range of Situations

A range of shooting modes enables different effects and the ability to shoot in various scenarios. The Flicker Detection mode enables you to shoot even in flickering artificial lights and the White Priority setting helps reduce the appearance of warmer tones. High Dynamic Range brings out detail in highlights and shadows. Film scenes over time with Time Lapse mode or take a sequence of stills with the interval timer.
