Voigtlander Lenses

Voigtlander Lenses

Voigtlander is an established name in the camera lenses market. The German manufacturer produces a series of VM Voigtlander lenses for use on Leica M System cameras, and to fit their own Voigtlander Bessa rangefinders. Additionally, they also manufacture a series of ultra-compact prime lenses for use on Canon and Nikon mounts, plus a couple of Nokton branded Voigtlander lenses for Micro Four Thirds photographers.

VM Voigtlander Lenses
At the ultra-wide end of the VM Voigtlander lenses spectrum is the 12mm f/5.6 Heliar M-Bajonett. Diminutive in size and weight, it packs a super-wide angle punch that equates to 121 degrees of viewing angle. Not as wide but incredibly bright is the 21mm f/1.8 Ultron. With an aperture ratio of 1:1.8, it delivers a super-shallow depth of field in a super-wide angle view. Other notable VM Voigtlander lenses include the 35mm f/2.5 Color Skopar Pancake II and the bright 50mm f/1.1 Nokton.

Voigtlander Lenses for Nikon and Canon
Nikon and Canon Voigtlander lenses are known as the SL II Lenses collection. There are six lenses in all with focal lengths ranging from 20mm to 90mm. These include a super-compact 90mm f/3.5 APO-Lanthar lens, and the slim 28mm f/2.8 Color Skopar SLII.
