Camera & Lens Caps & Hood Information

We’ve Got You Covered

At CameraPro we know of photographers and filmmakers who’ve lost camera and lens caps in many different scenarios. So whether your original cap got dropped in a lake, run over by a bus or chewed on by your inquisitive 2-year-old, we’ve got your camera and lenses covered with new body and lens caps and lens hoods to fit virtually all major models and brands.

Lens Hoods

Camera lens hoods help to reduce glare, thereby preserving the colour and contrast in your images. Lens hoods also provide additional protection for your lens; they extend out in front of your lens to help safeguard it against accidental knocks and, to some degree, the elements. Your view through a hooded lens is completely unhindered so whether it’s lightly raining or snowing or you’re shooting towards the sun, a lens hood will give you the freedom to take great images with a bit of extra peace of mind.

Not all lenses come with a lens hood, and different lenses require different hoods. Check the size of your lens to make sure you purchase the right lens hood for your lens.

Lens Caps

All lenses purchased come with a protective front and rear cover (i.e. cap). These lens caps are essential to protect your lens when not in use. Lens caps are easily lost and occasionally broken and need to be replaced. Again, make sure to check the lens size and model to purchase the right fit.

Camera Body Caps

As with lenses, all interchangeable lens cameras come with a protective cover (i.e. body cap). Your camera’s body cap is essential to protect the inside of your camera—particularly the sensor—while it’s not attached to a lens. Camera body caps are easily lost and occasionally broken and need to be replaced. Once again, be sure to purchase the correct body cap for your make and model of camera.
