Not only will this filter protect your lens, it will also eliminate problems associated with vignetting. Its anti-reflection multi-resistant coating (MRC) acts as a barrier to scratches and dirt and the hydrophobic layer is highly defiant against water drops.
This filter’s function is to protect the lens from dirt, sand and water without adding any special effects. As with all XS-Pro filters, this clear filter is covered with eight layers in a multi-resistant coating (MRC). This gives ultimate anti-reflection for better imagery, while being resistant to scratches and dirt. The hydrophobic material makes water drops slide off, making this filter water resistant too.
Multi-resistant coating (MRC)
The multi-resistant coating (MRC) in this B+W XS-Pro digital 007 clear filter is harder than glass and gives ultimate protection against the elements while preventing scratches. It has the added bonus of preventing internal ghosting and reflections. The mounting rings stop vignetting even when shooting with wide-angle lenses.
Brass mount
The front thread attaches additional accessories such as lens caps or hoods. All XS-Pro digital mounts are made of brass and are matte black to prevent reflections. This helps to minimise vignetting while enhancing durability and stops jamming.
Constructed from Schott glass
Constructed from world-class German Schott glass, this lens has optical clarity for accurate colour reproduction. Schott’s advanced optical filter glass has the ability to selectively absorb and refract wavelengths. This results in image replication that has faithful colour and clear imagery.
Nano coating
The multi-layered MRC coating is further layered with a nano coating for ultimate protection against the elements. With a highly effective hydrophobic coating, this filter is completely resistant to water drops. Contact with water won’t impact the cleaning ability of this filter.
Double threaded
The double-threaded design makes it easy to stack this XS-Pro filter with others. With a male fitting on one side and a female fitting on the other, it’s really easy to lock other filters in place. You can add more filters to create new effects while still protecting your lens as much as possible. Â
